A new report is digging deeper into the personal struggles of college students, particularly homelessness.
The report by "Connecticut State Colleges and Universities" and the "Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness" is a collection of surveys from college campuses all across the state.
The report said 15 percent of students were experiencing homelessness, 31 percent said they could not stay where they currently were sleeping long-term.
Twenty-three percent of students said where they were currently staying was not safe, and 10 percent of students say they were in a situation where they were pressured into sexual acts for money.
While the numbers are staggering, CSCU President Mark Ojakian said students are constantly juggling real life issues, and they still come to class and do well.
